Safe Homes
Safe homes offer space for people facing family violence in the NWT’s Dehcho and Sahtu region who do not want to or are unable to go to a family violence shelter in Yellowknife, Inuvik or Hay River.

Safety in your home community: Fort Good Hope and Fort Simpson
YWCA NWT has partnered with the K’asho Got’ı̨nę Housing Society in Fort Good Hope and Łı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́ First Nation's Victim Services Department in Fort Simpson to pilot safe homes in their respective regions. The homes are safe and anonymous places for self-identifying women (with or without children) to stay while they are fleeing violence.
Fort Good Hope
This safe home is open to women and children in the Sahtu and has three bedrooms available.
