GirlSpace is an awesome free program for girls ages 8 to 17.  Contact Ashley at ashley@ywcanwt.ca or 867-920-2777 Ext 311 for more info.

It offers girls the opportunity to:

  • work collaboratively with other girls to develop a space where everyone feels welcome and respected
  • learn, grow and share in a non-judgmental environment supported by professional staff
  • build skills, including leadership, teamwork, self-reliance, increased independence, self-awareness and positive self-esteem
  • connect with the community in a variety of volunteer roles.

Three groups (8-10 years old, 11-13 years old and 14-17 years old) meet on different days after school at 4 pm at the program room at YWCA Rockhill (4904 54 Ave).

GirlSpace offers a day camp during March break and summer events. Watch this space for details about registration.
